Upon arrival, on the first day of your trip to Peru, you will be welcomed by our personnel at Lima airport and transferred to the selected hotel. After check in you will have a briefing in which you will be handed your “Travel kit” which includes all your travel documents such as itinerary, flight, train and bus tickets, and hotel information.

Day 2
Lima
Breakfast
In the morning, you will visit colonial Lima, the Cathedral, located in the Main Square; it is in the same place as the original building of 1555. After the earthquake in 1746, the Cathedral was rebuilt on the same site under the direction of Jesuit priest Juan Rehr. Both its facade and interior are austere with its remarkable wooden choir stalls, altars and the tomb of Francisco Pizarro, who died in 1541. Later, you will visit the Church of San Francisco, its convent, Art Museum, cloisters and catacombs. Afterwards, you will have a panoramic view of the Main Square with the Government Palace, the Municipal Hall, the “Desamparados” Train Station, before driving through the old streets, where you will have a spectacular view of traditional mansions and Moorish style balconies. You will then continue through classic and modern Lima. Finally, you will enjoy an amazing view of the Pacific Ocean.
Day 3
Lima – Arequipa

This morning, you will be transferred to the airport to board your flight to Arequipa, which is a beautiful Spanish Colonial city nestled beneath the magnificent and majestic Misti Volcanoes. On arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel prior to beginning your tour of Arequipa. In the afternoon, you will begin your City tour, including the famous Santa Catalina Convent, the most important in Peru and a walled citadel of more than 20,000 m2 , which for four centuries served as the only physical world for several generations of Cloistered nuns. During the city tour you will visit the Church Cloisters of the Company, a tremendous collection of Domes, Arches, which can all be found in its galleries and Alters. Other places of interest are the Complex of San Francisco and the Cathedral, located in the main square, considered to be one of the biggest in South America. Finally, the Spanish Colonial district of Yanahuara, 2 km from the city’s centre, consisting of narrow cobblestone streets and old white volcanic stone houses. From the viewpoint there is a magnificent view of the city of its three volcanoes: Misti, Chachani and Pichu Pichu. Return to the Hotel.

Day 4
Arequipa – Colca Canyon

Early in the morning, departure by land on your excursion towards the Colca Valley driving across Pampa Cañahuas at the Aguada Blanca National Reserve, habitat of herds of Vicuñas and stopping at the Mirador de los Andes, the Crater of Chucura, the Mirador de Chivay, where beautiful pre-Columbian terraces still being cultivated by native Collaguas can be observed. The highest point of the road is at 4350 m.a.s.l. After the arrival in Chivay you check in at your hotel. In the afternoon, visit the hot springs of La Calera thermomedicinal baths (own expense).

Day 5
Colca Canyon – Condor’s Cross – Puno
Breakfast
Early in the morning departure to the “Condor’s Cross” from where the great Andean bird, the Condor, may be spotted flying in circles above still farmed green pre-Hispanic terraces. Enjoy the impressive panorama of the Colca Canyon, one of the deepest in the World (3,180 mts.). On the way, visit to the Mirador of Wayrapunko, Antahuilque, Choquetico, where we will find the famous Hanging Tombs. At the Town of Yanque, visit its beautiful church and its characteristic cobbled stone streets among other attractions, then, return for the town Maca and arrive to Chivay, and continue to Puno. (Only with Driver). The mountains surrounding the area provide a very quintessential scene of the Peruvian Andes. There will also be small little farms with sheep and llamas along the way. You will also border the altiplano lake of Lagunilla with a variety of wild birds and flora passing by the towns Santa Lucia and Juliaca- Puno. Arriving at Puno, you will be transferred to your hotel where you will spend the night.

Day 6
Puno – Lake Titicaca

In the morning you will begin your full day visit to the floating island, known as “Uros” in Lake Titicaca. Located 4 km / 2.5 miles from Puno, the original inhabitants of these floating islands are said to descend from one of the most ancient peoples of the Americas, and still to this day practice their ancient traditions. Their dwellings made of totora reed, are built on the surface of Lake Titicaca.
Afterwards, you will make your way to the unique Island of Taquile, where time appears to have stopped. The Mediterranean atmosphere of this place is striking, with its steps of stone and its houses centered around the square. Its indigenous community that lives here has around 350 families that are descendants of the Incas and well-known for their textile activities, such as their beautifully woven chumpis (belts), chullos (caps), and ojotas (and sandals). According to the custom, officials are distinguished by black or brown caps. Taquile also offers a magnificent lake landscape from where the impressive snowfalls of the Cordillera Real (Real mountain chain) can be seen. In the afternoon you will return to the hotel, where you will spend the night.
Day 7
Puno – Cusco

In the morning, you will be transferred to the local bus station, to board the regular tourist class bus to the city of Cusco (in group with other passsengers). It is a full day trip starting at 7:00 a.m., crossing the great Altiplano with the ever presence snowcapped Andean Mountains. On route, you will pass by the villages of Pucara, Racchi and Andahuaylillas. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel, where you will spend the night.

Day 8
Cusco – Sacred Valley
Breakfast, Lunch
In the morning, at around 08:30 a.m. you will be collected from your hotel and driven overland to the Sacred Valley and to the archaeological complex of Pisac, a journey which will take approximately 1 hour and 35 minutes. On the way you will stop on route to take some pictures, and admire the Pucara Bulls on the roofs of Andean houses. These small bulls are thought to be amulets that bring wealth to each family who owns them; they are usually given as gifts on weddings. On arrival to the archaeological complex of Pisac, you will begin our tour of the site, during the course of our hike around this area; appreciate the magnificent Andean terraces, which were built to expand the agriculture lands. After we will visit the artisan market of Pisac a colorful local event that over the centuries has attracted local traders and remote communities from all over the valley, dressed in their traditional and colorful costumes enjoy the opportunity to interact with local people, appreciate their craftsmanship, handicrafts and local fruit and vegetable stalls. Buffet lunch and after we will make our way to the town of Ollantaytambo, with its distinct Inca urban planning, visit the religious, astronomical and military complex and observe how the ancient Peruvians moved boulders of nearly 60 metric tons from one mountain to another and across the river and valley. Finally you will be transferred to your hotel in the Sacred Valley.

Day 9
Sacred Valley – Machu Picchu – Cusco

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the train station to board the tourist Class Train to Machu Picchu, a great World Heritage Site. This archaeological site was hidden for centuries, until it came to light during the early 1900s, by the famous discoverer Hiram Bingham. It is impossible to describe in words, how you will feel when faced with the citadel, a huge complex located between the mountains and the jungle and a wonderful challenge to your imagination.
Upon arrival at Aguas Calientes, reception at the train station and transfer uphill to Machu Picchu (approximately 20 minutes). On arrival to Machu Picchu you will begin your tour of the Citadel where you will appreciate the history of this enigmatic and impressive place. The citadel was built on a very special spot covered in vegetation between two mountains: the Machu Picchu (old mountain) and Huayna Picchu (young mountain), at the foot of which meanders the Urubamba or Vilcanota River (lower Jungle featuring abundant flora and fauna).
In the afternoon, you will return to Aguas Calientes to explore the village by your own. At coordinated time, you will be transferred to the train station to board your return train to Cusco. Upon arrival, reception and transfer to your hotel.

Day 10
Cusco
Breakfast
You will be picked up from your hotel, and you will start the City Tour visiting Cusco’s Historical Inca and Spanish Colonial Monuments, such as the Main Square, known in Inca times as Huacaypata or the Warrior’s Square; it was the scene for many key events in Cusco’s history.
The Cathedral, originally built on the site of the old temple of Suntur Wasi (House of God), now the church of El Triunfo, a particular interest are the choir cloisters, the pulpit, the engravings on the altar and furniture. Continue onto the Church and Convent of Santo Domingo, a Spanish construction belonging to the Dominican Order built upon the foundations of the Inca temple of Koricancha or Temple of the Sun. Koricancha (in quechua, site of gold) was the main religious building of the Incas dedicated to the worship of the Sun and whose walls, according to the chroniclers, were plated with sheets of gold. Magnificent blocks of finely carved stone were used in its construction.
After, you will visit the surrounding ruins of the city of Cusco: Sacsayhuaman, this huge Inca fortress is built on three overlapping platforms, each of them over 360 m long. Then we continue, onto Tambomachay, known as the Inca baths. It was apparently a site dedicated to the worship of water and a resting place for the Inca monarch. Kenko, it is said to have been a worship site. There is a huge 5, 9 m high stone block that looks like a puma. There are also passages, canals and stairways with stone engravings representing animals. Finally, Puca Pucará, which was an administrative and military centre formed by terraces, stairways, passages, turrets and vaulted niches.
Day 11
Cusco – Lima
Breakfast
Transfer to the airport for flight back to Lima. Reception and transfer to the hotel. Day Use of Hotel and transfer to Lima Airport.
